About Us

Footwear 4 Kids Foundation is a registered nonprofit and social movement that encourages and assists members of our community, shoe stores, and corporate businesses to donate for a child in need of a good pair of shoes.

Footwear 4 Kids initiative was founded by William Bourgault in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. He was cleaning out his closet and noticed that he had a few pairs of shoes that he had outgrown and wanted to donate. He then did some research but couldn't find an organization that focused on providing footwear at no cost for children and youth in need in the city of Ottawa. 

 

In the last 4 and a half years, with the support of our volunteers, donors, and community, we have fundraised over 2,900 pairs of new and gently used shoes and have been able to provide footwear to hundreds of children and youth in Ottawa, Canada. Working closely with nonprofits and schools, the initiative distributes donated shoes to children and youth who lack access to good shoes for daily living or sporting activities.

​(Important notice) The F4K Foundation is taking the next (3-10 months) to put the organization under a nonprofit board governance structure and review and update our program plans and objectives so that we are set and ready for a new year in 2025.
